Diastasis Belt

This belt is specially designed for after diastasis surgery. It is made of special fabric and has 3 closing straps that can be positioned as desired. It supports the abdomen and prevents the worsening of abdominal diastasis.

What is Diastasis?

Diastasis is the separation of left and right parts of the rectus abdominus muscle by more than 2 cm.  These two parts widen, moving away from the median line (or linea alba) of connective tissue, devoid of nerves and blood, which develops under the sternum and down to the pelvic bone.  The main cause of this muscle separation is pregnancy or it can also develop in elderly and obese people.
